From Academies to Recreation Programs to Overnight Camps, we have a great winter lined out for you! To register, look through this page and “add to cart” all the programs you want to participate in. If you prefer not to pay all at once, follow the check-out directions to be invoiced!

    Exploration, learning, practice, skill development, and independence of various recreational pursuits.

  • Thriving Adventures

    Single-day experiences, adventures, community building, and/or family events.

  • Expedition Academy

    A comprehensive, year-long program developed by Adventure Ready NW for qualified students seeking to foster increased independence both in adventure-based programs, at home and everyday life.

  • Basecamp Classes

    Short-term, specific skills acquisition programming. Examples: Bike Maintenance and Adaptive First Aid & CPR.

  • Overnight Camps

    Camps with various lengths and activities. Examples: Fall Bike Camp and Winter Adventure Camp!

Expedition Academy Overview
Expedition Academy is a comprehensive, year-long program developed by Adventure Ready NW for qualified students seeking to foster independence in adventure-based programs, daily life, and beyond. With breaks between terms and over the summer, this immersive curriculum focuses on creating a rule of life, self-understanding, and healthy habits related to technology, food, and fitness.

Winter Term Highlights: Students will dive into research and planning for their summer expedition during the winter term and prepare through a hands-on mini-spring trip. The focus will also include building fitness and healthy habits, expanding comfort zones with practical toolkits, increasing independence in daily living tasks, and completing a First Aid and CPR certification course—valuable for personal growth and resumes.

The program culminates each year with a student-planned and led capstone project. Join Expedition Academy and embark on a transformative journey with Adventure Ready NW. Develop the skills, habits, and confidence to thrive in all areas of life while embracing the thrill of adventure and discovery.

REC: Trail Running 102: 10K Training

Wed. 2/19, 2/26, 3/5 & 3/12, 4-6pm

Location: Hazalia Fields, Lake Oswego 

Take your trail running to the next level in this focused class designed to prepare you for a 10K race. Build endurance, improve technique, and gain confidence on varied terrain with expert guidance and a supportive community. Perfect for runners ready to tackle new challenges and achieve their goals! Participants will train and have the option to run in the Champoeg trail 10k Saturday March 22nd.

REC: Climbing with Friends

Elevate your climbing game and connect with fellow enthusiasts in our Community Climb class! Designed for experienced climbers, this course focuses on refining techniques, tackling challenging problems, and fostering a vibrant climbing community. Participants will explore advanced techniques, such as dynamic moves and complex sequences while receiving personalized tips to enhance their performance. This class is open to both ARNW participants, family, and friends, encouraging a collaborative and social atmosphere. REC: Biking 102 Skills & Confidence

Thriving Adventure: Forest Park Exploration

Thurs. 3/20, 10-3pm

Bike Maintenance: Get Ride Ready and Community Dinner
$150.00

Wed. 3/19, 3-7pm

Before you ride you need to get your bike tuned up! ARNW will provide you with all the tools, cleaning materials, and how-to! Bring your bike we will work through all the major components of your bike, getting them ready for a Spring Break Bike Camp or other bike programs! We’ll fully wash, grease, and tune up our bikes for optimal performance. After we are done we will have dinner together!

Drop off and Pick up at Cora’s house. Cost includes dinner and materials for a bike tune

Adapted First Aid and CPR
$500.00

Mon. 3/10 & 3/17, 10-4pm

This specialized course is designed for individuals with special needs, offering hands-on learning in a supportive and inclusive environment. Students will gain essential first aid and CPR skills tailored to their needs and leave the class with official certification. Knowing how to respond in an emergency can save lives, build confidence, and create a safer community for everyone. This empowering course emphasizes the importance of being prepared and provides students with the tools to act quickly and effectively when it matters most.

Course Includes:

Spring Break Bike Camp
$895.00

March 26-28th 2025

This year’s Spring Break Bike Camp will be a three-day, two-night overnight camp at the lovely cabins at Stub Stewart State Park riding along the Banks-Vernonia Trail and park mountain bike trails!

Campers will continue to learn and practice basic bike maintenance, safety & equipment checks, and riding styles along different parts of the trail over the three days. Camp participants need to have prior biking experience and be capable of riding more than three miles.

This is a great opportunity to come together in community, connect with friends, ride bikes play games, eat great camp meals, and have a wonderful three-day adventure together.
